In order to really open up extra-planetary living and create a space faring society we need to have various kinds of facilities to facilitate the development of this society and the communities that will make it possible for the average person to live and work to create a life in this new frontier. 

 

The types of facilities need are those that provide and artificial environments…, artificial gravity (for now centrifugal force), environmental pressure, breathable air, energy generation, propulsion systems , and provide for emergency survival, escape and re-entry. These environments must help people perform, and facilitate, administrative work, physical work, and intellectual or knowledge work and maintain a high level morale and motivation.
 
We need Space vehicle and Habitat maintenance facilities where you can bring a space vehicle or habitat unit into a hanger type space enclosure that can be pressurize; the vehicle can be held in place and surrounded by work platforms that will allow workers to work freely on repairing and maintaining the vehicle or habitat.
 
We need Living facilities for families, individuals and groups or team to live in relative artificial environmental comfort.
 
We will also need Medical and Emergency Response Facilities, Recreation and Entertainment Facilities. As well as Research and Development, Test and Evaluation Facilities, just to name a few.
 
In this section of Synergistic Life we will delve deep into all aspect of facilities from types to constituent parts, component, and systems involved, as well as administration, management, operational procedures, location and orientation, etc…
