Welcome to the Extra-Planetary Off-World Community Development Center

 

In the beginning their will be government agencies, small companies, and individual entrepreneurs that will start to live and work in space.

These will be small space stations, orbital planes, hotels, science stations, mining crafts and facilities, observation stations, etc… 

At some point some company will develop linkable habitat modules and companies and individual entrepreneurs that buy these unit will link together to form small mutually supportive communities.
 
Their will also be individuals crafts and orbital stations that will station themselves relative close to one another to share supplies and for mutual support. These will become some of the first ad hoc communities that will be developed.
 
The question is how do we develop and maintain small Extra-Planetary Communities and grow them into large and even super communities that are safe and efficient Neighborhoods, Communities, Cities and Civilizations.
 
How doe we lay the foundation for a Mega Extra-Planetary Community or Civilization, from the first component on up to a thriving Extra-Planetary Metropolis?
